Police are trying to trace this man following the theft of a foldable bicycle from an address in Mansfield.
The black Comet bike was taken from the back garden of a property in Hall Street, between 5pm and 7pm on 25 June.
Officers investigating the theft are now able to release this image of a man they'd like to speak to as part of their inquiries.
PC Darren Barker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was an upsetting incident for the victim in this case who uses the bike for commuting.
"We're eager to track down the person responsible for this theft.
"To this end we believe the man pictured in this image may have vital information and we encourage him to come forward as soon as possible.
"We'd urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 879 of 25 June 2026, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
PC Barker added: "We don't want anyone to fall victim to bike thefts as we know the loss of a bike can have a significant impact on victims, both financially and emotionally.
"For some, it is their only means of transport and without one they can't get to work or school.
“Bicycles are often targeted by thieves because they are left poorly secured or not secured at all. It takes just a few seconds for the opportunist thief to steal a bike that is left unsecured.
“As such, I'd urge bicycle owners to be extra vigilant to reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
“Take the same care to lock your bike securely at home as you would on the street and make sure your garden gates, sheds, and garages are securely locked at all times."
