A 17-year-old boy and two men have died after a car crash in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision shortly before 11.40pm on Saturday.

A grey Seat Cupra Leon travelling towards Kilnhurst left the carriageway on Denaby Lane, the force added.

The 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 21 and 23, died at the scene.

Another 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Their families have been informed and are being supported by officers, the force said.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage to come forward.

The force said: "We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Rotherham.
