England unchanged for third T20 vs India at Trent Bridge on Tuesday as they look to take 2-0 lead in five-match series

England have named an unchanged XI for the third T20 international against India at Trent Bridge on Tuesday as they look to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Jacob Bethell's rip-roaring 76 not out from 46 balls led the hosts to a target of 191 with an over to spare at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday, after the first game in Durham earlier that week had been wrecked by rain once India posted 189-7.

The second T20 in Manchester was notable for the debut of 15-year-old India prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who smacked a six apiece off pacers Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue before being stumped off spinner Will Jacks for 14 from 10 balls.

Archer, Tongue - who made his T20I debut at the weekend - and Sam Curran will form the pace attack in Nottingham for a game that begins at 5.30pm UK time, live on Sky Sports Cricket and Main Event, with Jacks, Adil Rashid and Liam Dawson the premier spinners.

Bethell provides another slow-bowling option if needed.

England openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler will hope for a better outing at Trent Bridge after both were dismissed for ducks in the first over at Old Trafford, which was bowled by Arshdeep Singh.

The fourth match of the series takes place in Bristol on Thursday (5.30pm) with the final fixture at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton on Saturday (2.30pm).

Tongue: I want to play all three formats

Tongue, who has played 12 Tests for England, bagging 57 wickets at an average of 29.66, and is also in the squad for the impending three-match ODI series against India, said: "I have always wanted to play three formats. It's a privilege to play for England.

"You have to make sure you recover well after games. Test cricket is obviously very demanding on the body - I have learnt that over the last few years.

"So it's about knowing your body inside out and knowing you have the support around you to be as fit as you can."

On coming up against Sooryavanshi, who had earned his India chance after blasting 776 runs in the 2026 IPL for Rajasthan Royals at a staggering strike-rate of of 237.30: "I have watched him in the IPL and he is obviously an amazing player, an amazing talent.

"He got hold of me for one six, which was obviously a nice shot, but I try to focus as much on myself as I can and what I need to do."
