Prince Harry makes appearance at NBA Finals for historic New York Knicks win

Prince Harry joined other famous faces to watch the New York Knicks secure their first NBA Championship in more than 50 years.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, was spotted in the crowd at game five of the final series between the Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs.

Harry, sitting a few rows from the court, watched the US basketball team claim their first NBA title since 1973 with a 94-90 win.

He attended the match in San Antonio with US army veteran and Purple Heart recipient JP Lane and sat beside NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

The duke was already in Texas for the Warrior Games, an event for wounded, injured or ill military personnel organised by the US government.

He was in attendance with celebrities including Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney, her boyfriend Scooter Braun, and actors Timothee Chalamet and Ben Stiller.

Harry's wife Meghan and the couple's children were not at the game.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made regular appearances at sporting events since moving to the US in 2020, attending an NBA All-Star Game in February.

Harry's appearance on Saturday came hours after the King had celebrated his official birthday with a ceremony to showcase the British Army's ceremonial prowess.

Th monarch took part in the famous Trooping the Colour event, in which military pomp and pageantry were on display in London.
