Ashfield MP Lee Anderson gives his thoughts on the recent UK riots

Lee Anderson spoke to Mansfield 103.2's Tony Delahunty about the disorder that has struck many UK towns and cities following the knife attack on a children's club in Southport last week.

Sir Keir Starmer says the criminal justice system has shown a "robust and swift response" in the face of ongoing riots in the UK - after chairing his second Cobra meeting on the issue.

Officers have 30 protests on their radar today - following days of violence and disorder.

The Prime Minister warned anyone involved that they will likely be dealt with by the law, within a week from arrest.

The riots were sparked by misinformation online - following last week's stabbings in Southport.

Lee Anderson told Mansfield 103.2's Director of News that the civil unrest has been bubbling up for some time due to the immigration issue.
