Student filmmaker was 'surrounded and kicked on floor before being stabbed'

A student filmmaker allegedly stabbed to death at a popular north London viewpoint was surrounded and kicked on the floor before he died, a court heard.

Finbar Sullivan, 21, died after the alleged attack at Primrose Hill on 7 April.

The Old Bailey was told Mr Sullivan entered the park with a friend before he is said to have been surrounded by a group of suspects.

He was punched and pushed to the ground just after 6.30pm, prosecutor Zara Brawley told the court on Wednesday.

One suspect is said to have kicked and stamped on his head, before Mr Sullivan was then stabbed by another man at "least twice", including a fatal injury to his thigh, the court heard.

In total three men have been charged with murder over the death, with one appearing in court on Monday and two more charged on Tuesday.

Alexis Bidace, 25, of Edmonton, and Ernest Boateng, 25, of Enfield, north London, were arrested earlier this week and have since been charged with murder.

They appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and were remanded in custody. The pair did not enter any formal pleas to the charges during the short hearing.

Anna Wright, defending, said they both deny participation in the alleged murder.

The men spoke only to confirm their names, addresses and age. District Judge Daniel Benjamin remanded them to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Bidace wore a black jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms while Boateng wore a grey jumper and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Two others have previously appeared in court in connection with Mr Sullivan's death.

Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, also of Enfield, has also been charged with murder. He appeared at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

Before being taken to the cells, he told the court: "I didn't kill anybody, I didn't stab anybody, they've got the wrong person."

Khalid Abdulqadir, 18, of Camden, north London, was charged with grievous bodily harm, violent disorder, and possession of a knife.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody.

The Metropolitan Police has said its investigation is continuing.
