Man charged with harassment over incident near Andrew's Sandringham home

A 39-year-old man has been charged over an incident near Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's Norfolk home.

Alex Jenkinson, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, faces two charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress, and failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody.

It follows his arrest in Wolferton, near the former prince's house on the King's Sandringham estate, Norfolk Police said.

Earlier on Thursday, the force said a man had been taken to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was held in custody.

Andrew moved into Marsh Farm in Norfolk last month, after moving out of the Royal Lodge in Windsor in February.

The palace had announced last October that the King had begun the process of removing the style, title and honours of the former prince after the Jeffrey Epstein-linked allegations against him had started to "distract" from the Royal Family's work.

Andrew has previously denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein and vehemently denied all allegations against him.

He had lived at Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion on the Windsor Estate, for more than 20 years.
