New Dawn For The Old Lindhurst Rooms

New Dawn For The Old Lindhurst Rooms
A popular Mansfield venue, locally known as the Lindhurst Rooms, is getting a new lease of life – thanks to a new company called The Civic Quarter.
The venue within the Civic Centre will be renamed “Civic Quarter” and it’s hoped that after a two year absence, a new lease of life will be a boost to the area.
Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard will help knock the 400-people venue into shape, when he appears at the venue on December 2nd.
Paul Andrews is from the group taking over the lease and said “As you can see from the first major show, this place has real potential to put Mansfield firmly on the map. We’ll be carrying out extensive decorating works and putting in a new bar, we are also working with Mansfield District Council to completely recommission the kitchen facilities.”
Mansfield Executive Mayor Kate Allsop supports the plans and added “These rooms have been crying out to be used, so it’s fantastic that the new civic quarter is going to be there. There’s nothing like it in Mansfield and it’s great to see a company willing to invest time and energy into this project.”
The venue will also be looking to hire new staff – anyone with suitable experience of working in venues such as the Civic Quarter, should email info@civicquarter.co.uk to express their interest and find out more about the roles on offer.
