Murray To Hold “Open Office” For Fans

2nd November 2016

Murray To Hold “Open Office” For Fans

Passionate Stags boss Adam Murray has stated his intent to remain at the club after hinting he would “re-consider his position” following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Stevenage.

The former club captain has also invited supports to come and speak to him and his staff face to face tomorrow evening about footballing matters, as he holds an “open office” in a bid to get things back on track with supporters.

Speaking to the clubs official website earlier in a no holds barred interview, Murray said “From 5pm, when everyone finishes work, we’ll be having an ‘open office’ to any of the supporters who have any questions or ask why we do certain things. Instead of shouting over fences, we can sit and have a chat and be on the same page. I know I’ll never make everyone happy but we are building an environment where we all want to be singing fom the same page.”

“When we enter the battlefield, we all want the same thing; the end goal is the same for all of us.”

Supporters are invited along to the One Call Stadium tomorrow night to meet with Murray and his backroom staff between 5 & 9pm. Those wishing to do so are kindly asked to make an 'Appointment' which should be pre-booked simply by e-mailing mark.stevenson@mansfieldtown.net

Murray also revealed he has the full backing of Chairman John Radford and spoke with him following the weekend’s events. Speaking of the conversation, Murray said “The chairman believes in what we have done and what we’re doing. He backs me to the hilt and [tells me] to basically ‘get on with it’ and ‘stop pussyfooting around’,”

The Stags are back in action this Saturday, as they welcome league leaders Plymouth to the One Call Stadium, in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.
