McGrattan Signs For Panthers
Nottingham Panthers have brought in former NHL right winger Brian Grattan to boost their Elite League title hopes.
The Canadian, who has played over three hundred times each in the NHL and AHL, has completed the paperwork and his visa application is now well underway.
The Panthers say he will be with the club as soon as possible but is unlikely to feature in their matches at Dundee Stars, Braehead Clan and Fife Flyers this weekend.
Panthers’ head coach Corey Neilson told the club's website: “This is the final piece we’ve been waiting for. These things don’t happen overnight, management have been supportive throughout the process and it has paid dividends.
“I think the fans will love this guy. It was a vacancy we weren’t expecting to have to fill but things happen in sports and problems become opportunities.
“We wanted to sign a player with this kind of reputation for the fans. We’ve got our man.”
