Mansfield Dad & Daughter Take Challenge for Autism
A Mansfield Father & Daughter duo are too take on the crazy, muddy and amazing Airfield Anarchy Epic Weekend Challenge in support of Autism East Midlands this weekend.
Airfield Anarchy is an acclaimed mud run with obstacle courses aptly named the Epic Weekend challenge. Held this weekend at Winthorpe Airfield in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Father and daughter Martyn and Jessica Boden have decided to jump in at the deep end do all 3 runs’ that make up the Epic Weekend and to fundraise for Autism East Midlands.
Martyn adds “Autism is something we, as a family knew very little about, until the youngest child in our family was diagnosed with it last year, little Ollie”
The duo plan to complete the 10km Obstacle Race on the morning of Saturday 10th June, and then they will be completing the 5k Obstacle Race then after a short rest, the afternoon has even more mud and obstacles in store for them, they will complete the 10k!!
If that wasn’t enough, after only a night to recuperate, on Sunday 11th June they will be returning to complete the 10 Mile Obstacle Race! This is a huge challenge for both, however they are doing it for a great cause and one that is important to both of them, Autism East Midlands.
So far, the duo have raises over £800.00 for Autism East Midlands and are looking to continue to smash their target please visit their JUST GIVING PAGE for further information.
The money raised from this event will support the charity to continue offering services which help to meet the needs of children and adults with autism, their families and professionals working in the field of autism.
