Job Seekers Encouraged To Go Into Homecare
Job seekers in Mansfield and Ashfield are being encouraged to consider homecare as their next step on the career ladder as Nottinghamshire County Council look to fill around 40 full time care worker positions.
The council are working in partnership with four contracted homecare providers, including ‘Mears’ who cover homecare for Mansfield and Ashfield.
Applicants need to be caring and responsible, and all new recruits will be supported by a training programme that will provide them with the skills to carry out the required work.
Part time and flexible hours are available so people can fit in the care work alongside other commitments, with the pay rate being the living wage with travel costs also covered.
37 year old mum of four Crystal Duell from Shirebrook works as a care worker for ‘Mears’ and said “The best bit about being a care worker is making people smile really and enabling them to stay in their own home. The personal reward is amazing, you make people happy and help them do the little things they need a bit of help with to enable them to stay independent.”
