Changes made after fourth successive defeat

The GMB Nottingham Panthers have made changes to their roster after falling to their fourth successive Elite League defeat on Sunday.

Six feet seven inch former NHL first round draft pick Slovakian defenceman Kristian Kudroc has joined the club whilst Czech forward Petr Kalus has left.

It comes after a 4-2 home loss to Belfast Giants which followed defeats at Manchester Storm, Braehead Clan and at home to Edinburgh Capitals since their success in the Continental Cup.

A club spokeswoman told the Panthers website: "Obviously the results have not been good, everyone knows it, the coach knows it, the players know it. Head Coach Corey Neilson, along with everyone in the organisation loves Petr to bits, he’s a great guy. We wish him well and we thank him for everything.

"It wasn’t a decision taken lightly but it was a decision aimed at helping to improve the club. We’ve already got more imports that we’re allowed to ice in any one game, guys will be coming back from the treatment room and there will still be competition for places.

"Other guys are knocking on the door to join the Panthers too. As the coach says, we all have aspirations to do better than recent results suggest, we can and we will get better."
