103 Points Too… Social Media – A Love affair
This week on our weekly discussion show, 103 Points Too … Social Media, A love affair.
Gone are the days when communicating with friends meant talking face to face, gone are the days when you actually had to go out to buy that new pair of shoes and definitely gone are the days where meeting the potential love of your life happened at a dance with a cheesy pick up line!
This week’s panel show takes a look at all of that, and how the internet has changed the world in which we live in – as communication is always at our finger tips. The regular four of Tony Delahunty, Sid Pepoper, Rudy Funk and Peter Jones are back to take a look at the pros and cons of a world online – whilst adding to the debate and discussion are joined by a trio of voices, who see the positives and negatives of the online world.
Anna McGrath from Inspire Youth Arts uses the online world as a communication and marketing tool, but does it always work? Tammy Butler, a marketing manager from Hopkins Solicitors knows all about the world online, both through her job and in her personal life – having met her now husband through online dating. Whilst Sharon May from trading standards is on hand to look at the negatives of the online world – the sale of counterfeit products.
Also this week, Producer Craig Priest speaks out about the dark side of social media – with his account of online trolls and bullies – just how dark a world can it be?
