Derbyshire Bowler Signs For A Further Year
Mark Footitt has signed a deal that will keep him at Derbyshire for a further year.
The 26-year-old has been rewarded for fine performances in the first two games of the 2012 season, taking four wickets in the victories over Northants and Glamorgan.
Footitt arrived from neighbours Nottinghamshire ahead of the 2010 campaign and will now stay with Derbyshire until the end of next season.
Head Coach Karl Krikken says he is delighted to extend Footitt's contract saying strike bowlers are a precious commodity.
Footitt himself says his sole focus is to bowl well for Derbyshire over the next six months and help maintain their excellent start to the campaign.
