Magpies Bow Out Of Trophy
Notts County were beaten 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday last night in the Johnstones Paint Trophy.
They found themselves two goals down within the opening fourteen minutes thanks to strikes from James O'Connor.
Ben Davies' free-kick reduced the deficit but they could not find a second to draw level.
Despite the defeat, Magpies boss Craig Short was proud of his team's performance calling it their best overall showing of the season so far.
Meanwhile, Glapwell nabbed a couple of late goals to come from behind and beat Spalding United 2-1 in the Evo-Stik League.
Gary Townsend and Matt Varley both struck in the last five minutes in the match at Field Mill as Glapwell move up to seventh in Division One South. |
