The Gentlemen In Concert
On Saturday 21st September starting at 7pm The Gentlemen are performing live in concert at St Michael’s Church in Pleasley. They will also be joined by guest soprano Heidi Balajadia. On Saturday 21st September from 10am – 2pm there is a craft market happening at the Kingsway Hall in forest Town. Stalls include crafted jewellery, cards, bags, gifts, garden furniture and lots more. Refreshments will also be available. There is also a crafty corner where you can join in and have a go at various different crafts. Everyone is invited to go along and get crafty!!
Children’s Bereavement Services Available Locally Now
Although it is a natural part of life the loss of someone close can be a distressing time, especially for children and young people. The Children’s Bereavement Centre offers support for bereavement and pre-bereavement to those affected by the terminal illness of a loved one. Their services are provided free of charge and are open to children and youngsters aged from 3-18 years old and their close family members. They can offer one to one support and counselling, face to face and telephone advice, group therapy sessions and lots more. You can self refer or be referred by other healthcare professionals / organisations. Macmillan Coffee Morning
On Thursday 26th September from 8.45am – 11.45am there is a fundraising coffee morning taking place at Crescent Primary school on Peel Crescent in Mansfield. The Friends of Crescent have organised the event as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. There will be tea, coffee and plenty of delicious cakes! There will also be a fundraising raffle too. Everyone is welcome to go along and help them raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
75th Anniversary Party For Aged Veterans
On Thursday 26th September from 3pm – 5pm there is a special 75th Anniversary Party happening at The Ladybrook Community Centre run by AGE UK Notts in partnership with Notts County Council. The party is for aged veterans in the Mansfield & Ashfield areas, it will consist of an afternoon tea, entertainment and armed forces charities will be in attendance to offer support too. Macmillan Coffee Morning
On Friday 27th September from 9.30am – 12pm there is a Macmillan Coffee Morning happening at Warsop Town Hall on Church Street in Warsop. There will be lots of goodies including teas, coffees, cakes, savouries, sandwiches, cold drinks and more. There is even a raffle too!! This coffee morning has been organised by the Warsop Infotech Group who are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year. They are a group run solely by volunteers for the benefit of the local community and surrounding area. They do a fantastic job and are currently looking for new recruits. So, if you think you could help them and do some kind volunteering why not pop along and see them on the day and find out more about what they do and how you can get involved??

On Friday 27th September from 10am – 1.30pm there is a Macmillan fundraising event happening at Revive Hair, Beauty & Spa at Vision West Notts College on Derby Road in Mansfield. The 3 Peeks Challenge In Aid Of Cancer Research
On Friday 27th September three local people are taking on the 3 peeks challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research. They are climbing Ben Nevis, Scafel Pike and Snowdon all within 24hours! The team members are Chelsea Peek, Trent Peek and Kendal Peak who all work together at CCM Print in Mansfield. Fundraising Car Boot Sale
On Sunday 29th September and on the last Sunday of each month following there is a fundraising car boot sale happening at the Seventh Day Advent Church in Mansfield Woodhouse. Car booters can arrive from 8am and the public from 9am, the sale runs through until 12pm. Everyone is welcome to go along either as a seller or a buyer. To book a spot for your car please call Sue on 07584 411262, the charge for this is £5.00. Entry for the public on the day is 50pnece per person. Back To The 90’s
On Friday 4th October from 7.30pm until late there is a Back To The 90’s party happening at the Triple S Snooker Club in Skegby featuring DJ Mr C. Everyone is invited to go along and join in the 90’s fun!! Tickets are £2 in advance and can be bought now from behind the bar at The Triple S on Mansfield Road in Skegby. You can pay on the door on the night but it will be £3 per person and admission is not guaranteed due to capacity. Tickets are selling fast so be sure to get yours now!!
