The ‘I Love Mansfield’ Christmas Market
Continuing through to 22nd December the fabulously festive ‘I Love Mansfield’ Christmas Market returns to Mansfield. They will be selling everything you need for a magical festive season as well as festive food and drinks. The market is open 7 days a week from 10am each day. It closes at 5pm every day apart from Sundays when it closes at 4pm. They will also be staying open for late night shopping until 8pm on Thursdays 2nd, 9th & 16th December. Why not pay them a visit? You can’t miss the magical festive huts right along Westgate in the Town Centre.
Anthony Bek School Choir Concert
On Friday 3rd December starting at 6pm the choir from the Anthony Bek Community Primary School are performing their Christmas Concert at St Michael’s Church in Pleasley. Everyone is invited to go along to listen to some beautiful festive songs and carols sung by this magnificent choir. Admission is free to all.
Family Christmas Fair
On Saturday 4th December from 1pm – 4pm there is a Family Christmas Fair happening at Ladybrook Community Centre in Mansfield. There will be lots of stalls, refreshments, Santa’s grotto, craft activities, information stands plus lots more for all the family to enjoy. Entry is free.
1940’s & 50’s Lindy Hop Jive
As a salute to the 40’s and 50’s a fantastic Lindy Hop Jive is being held at Rainworth Miners Welfare on Saturday 4th December from 7pm – 11.30pm. Tickets are just £5 per person and includes a pie and pea supper. DJ Ryan will be entertaining you with the best 40’s and 50’s lindy hop and jive classics along with vintage vocalist Jayne Darling. There will also be a raffle. 40’s and 50’s era dress is optional but very welcome. All proceeds from the event and the raffle are being donated to the Royal British Legion in commemorative of their 100th anniversary. Christmas Tree Festival
From Saturday 4th – Tuesday 7th December Saint Michael’s Church at Pleasley are holding their annual Christmas Tree Festival. It’s your opportunity to go along and see lots of different beautifully decorated Christmas Trees around the Church. It’s a lovely warm festive sight not to be missed. Everyone is welcome, the church will be open daily from 12pm – 3pm, it’s free to go along plus hot drinks, mince pies and biscuits will be on offer. And on Saturday 4th December there will be children’s craft activities and the chance to meet Santa! Festive fun for all the family to enjoy.
On Monday 6th December from 1pm – 4pm there is a Christmas Fair happening at The Ram public house on Church Street in Mansfield. The fair is being held to raise funds to support local Veterans. There will be lots of festive fun including the Salvation Army visiting at 2pm. Why not call in whilst you are in town and help them to raise as much as possible?
Blue Sky Fundraising Fashion Show
On Monday 13th December at 7pm there is a fundraising fashion show happening at The Focus Point on Vale Road in Mansfield Woodhouse. There will be lots of designer and high street labels on offer including Next, Top Shop, New Look, River Island, M&S and many more. There will be styles for all ages and sizes from 8-22. Prices will be unbeatable and goods on the day of the show are subject to availability. All proceeds are going towards fundraising for some new chairs for the Oncology / Haematology department at Kings Mill Hospital. Tickets are £5 each and are available from the reception at Clinic 9 at the hospital or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
