Coming Soon – On Tuesday 12th June – “Grumpy Old Women” – a hilarious comedy show featuring Jenny Eclair taking a closer look at everything that makes older women grumpy!!
Coming Soon – On Tuesday 19th & Wednesday 20th June – “Hairspray” – a fabulous show set in America in 1962 featuring toe tapping music and fantastic dancing!! A show not to be missed!!

Children’s Scavenger Hunt
On Monday 28th May from 10am – 2pm at both local Rumbles Catering Projects, one on Sutton Lawn in Sutton in Ashfield and the other at Vicar Water Park in Clipstone. Scavenger hunt sheets can be collected between 10am – 2pm from the cafe and must be returned filled in by 4pm. The sheets cost just £1 per child. All children that hand in a completed sheet will receive a small prize and they will go into a prize draw to win a bigger prize!! Why not take the kids along for some bank holiday fun?? Spring Fling Fundraising Event
On Saturday 2nd June from 10am onwards there is a fundraising event being held at St Andrews Mission in Blidworth. There will be various stalls, a raffle, and fun for all ages plus local author, Glynis Baxter, will be doing a book signing of her psychological thriller “Why?”. All proceeds are going to The Guide Dogs For The Blind charity and there will even be a couple of guide dogs and their owners at the event for you to meet. Everyone is welcome to go along.
The Local YMCA Charity Need Your Help
The local YMCA charity shop needs donations of all kinds including clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, dvd’s, books and lots more. They can even collect your donation if you are unable to get it to them. Anything that they can sell on to help them to continue supporting vulnerable members of our local area would be greatly appreciated. To discuss a donation or arrange a collection please call 01623 442971 between 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Every donation will make a difference!!
Warsop’s Secret Garden Trail
On Saturday 2nd June starting at 2pm it is your chance to follow Warsop’s Secret Garden Trail. You get to visit a selected list of gardens at your leisure, the cost is just a minimum £1 donation which will be donated to a charity of the garden owners’ choice. Fundraising Fashion Show
On Thursday 31st May from 7.30pm – 9pm there is a fundraising fashion show taking place at the All Saints Centre in Huthwaite. Funds are being raised for a local 4 year old girl who has a rare genetic condition. Lots of items will be on sale and all of great quality. Tickets are £5 each and can be bought on the door on the night or online in advance. Ticket price include a glass of wine or other non-alcoholic drink. Everyone is welcome to go along. The Dalmatian Job Show
On Tuesday 5th June the Dalmatian Job Show is taking place in The 1861 Suite at the One Call Stadium in Mansfield. It’s free for the public to attend, there will be many employers from a variety of sectors there giving you the opportunity to meet them and find out more about what they have to offer. There will be free workshops throughout the day as well as the opportunity to get advice on your CV. So whether it’s the perfect job or simply a little volunteering you are looking for why not go along?? Active Ashfield Factor – Auditions

The Millside Hospital Radio based at Kings Mill Hospital in Sutton in Ashfield is currently looking for volunteers. The radio station broadcasts 24 hours per day across the wards of the hospital and they are also online. They provide a wide variety of entertainment for inpatients at the hospital. The station is run completely by volunteers and they are currently looking for new radio presenters and other station staff to work behind the scenes. Full training will be given. So, if you fancy getting into radio or helping out behind the scenes why not join this fantastic friendly team and give them a helping hand.
