This Week - On Friday 24th May at 7.30pm – “The Billy Fury Story” – the show is an electric and emotional nostalgic journey through the life of a unique rock star. It’s a great 60’s night out featuring many of his hits!
Coming Soon – On 18th & 19th June at 7.30pm – “Seussical The Musical” – based on the works of Dr Seuss the show weaves together his most famous tales and characters!

McKean’s Family Fun Fairs
Continuing through to and including Bank Holiday Monday (27th May), McKean’s Family Fun Fairs are open weekdays from 5.30pm and at weekends from 2pm on the Chesterfield Road playing fields just next to the Civic Centre in Mansfield. There are large rides, small rides, kid’s rides, traditional fairground stalls and delicious food too. Lots of fun for all the family to enjoy! Plus, don’t miss happy hour between 5.30pm – 6.30pm weekdays and from 2pm – 3pm on weekends where all rides are only £1 (excluding the dodgems and the bungee trampolines). Why not go along with the family and enjoy all the fun of the fair??
Missing Piece Child Loss – Weekly Drop In Sessions
Every Thursday from 5pm – 7pm the Missing Piece Child Loss charity hold drop in sessions at the Ladybrook Community Centre (formerly the William Kay Hall) on Ladybrook Lane in Mansfield. Anyone who has suffered the pain of losing a child, whether it is recently or some time ago can go along for professional and friendly support. The door is open and the help is there, all you have to do is turn up. The Parish Players – Live Performances
On Friday 24th & Saturday 25th May at 7.30pm each night the Parish Players will be performing three x 1 hour plays for the price of one. The plays include “12 Hour Life”, “Team Building” and “The Importance of Peaches”. The performances take place at St Andrew’s Parish Hall in Skegby and everyone is invited to go along. Masquerade Party – “From Liam With Love”
On Saturday 1st June there is a masquerade party happening at The Civic Quarter on Chesterfield Road South in Mansfield. The event is being held in special memory of Liam Michael Morrell who would have been 21 years old on 31st May this year. His Mum Claire along with her partner have organised the event to raise funds for the Kings Mill Baby Bereavement / Butterfly Suite which supports families experiencing the loss of a child. Everyone is invited to go along and help them raise as much as possible for this great local cause.
Back To The 80’s Disco
On Saturday 1st June from 7.30pm onwards there is an 80’s disco and party night happening at The Triple S Snooker club in Skegby. Admission is just £2 per person and all proceeds are going to Prostate Cancer Treatment. You can take a risk and pay on the door on the night but to guarantee you get to party the night away why not purchase your tickets now from behind the bar? Everyone is welcome to go along and travel back to the 80’s with this fantastic night out!!
Little Red Roubaix – Participants Wanted
On Sunday 2nd June Mansfield Road Club are doing a 35 mile on and of road charity bike ride. It starts and finishes at the Forest Town Arena. Entry is £5 via Just Giving or you can pay on the day. Registration is from 8am. All proceeds raised are going to the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. Age restrictions do apply. Frenbot Charity Football March
On Saturday 8th June Frenbot is taking place at the Forest Town Arena on Clipstone Road West in Forest Town. It is a charity football match and fun day featuring celebrity football players from Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, X Factor and more. As well as the football match there will be a fully licensed bar, hog roast, bouncy castle, face painting, mini fun fair and lots more. Admission is £3 per person or a family ticket is just £10. Gates open at 2pm with the football match kicking off at 3pm. There is plenty of free parking and everyone is welcome to go along. All funds raised from the day are going to the charity ‘Once Upon A Smile’ which provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families. Please go along and show your support if you can.
