Wellowfest 2017

This fantastic event is the love-child of David Chapelhow and Gair Kettles who back in 2014 decided to host their first festival at Chapel Farm in Wellow

Charity Funday Supporting Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice

On Sunday 22nd October – from 2pm-8pm at The Sir John Cockle Pub, Sutton Road, Mansfield. Raising  money for very ill children, music, face painting and lots more. All welcome, come and support a great cause.

 

Harrop White Road Allotment Association

Vacant Allotments – There are 64 allotments of which 4 are vacant, the association supports new tenants, has a shop selling allotment necessities and all plots are complete with a shed and access to water. If you are interested in having a plot call Chris Lovell on 0777 3504 584.

 

Poppy Appeal Night

On Friday 27th October – Clipstone and Forest Town Branch of The Royal British Legion from 7pm at The Forest Town Arena, Clipstone Road, west, Forest Town are having a poppy appeal night, live artist, disco, raffles and lots more.

 

Mansfield and Sutton Astronomical Society

On Saturday 28th October – Are holding a public open evening which is also “2017 International Observe the moon night” starting at 6.45pm. There will be a series of themed talks throughout the evening. Please be aware that all viewing is weather dependent and wrap up warm! Mansfield District Council – Monthly Artisan and Craft Market

Breathe Easy, Mansfield and Ashfield

Every 2nd Tuesday in the month – Do you have or know someone who has a lung condition? Are you a friend or carer? Breathe Ease self help support groups are for information, support and friendship, days out and activities. Why not come along and join us at The Towers, Botany Avenue, Mansfield 1.30pm – 3.30pm. All welcome.

 

Macmillan Beyond Diagnosis Service Self Help UK

Volunteers Required - We are looking for volunteers to support local people living with cancer by helping them attend hospital appointments, shopping etc and support them to be less isolated, if you  can give 2-3 hours per week call 07958297919.

 

Mansfield Folk Club

On Monday evenings - from 8.15pm in the upstairs room at The Black Bull, Woodhouse Road, Mansfield. It offers a varied programme throughout the year of “Singer Nights” and “Feature Nights”.

 

Hetty’s Bereavement support group

On Every Wednesday – Marlborough House, Woodhouse Road, Mansfield 10.30-12.30, where qualified counsellor’s specialize in bereavement in a safe and confidential space.
