Pleasley Crash Victim Named
Police have named a man who died following a collision in Pleasley on Tuesday morning.
Stephen Simpson was driving a Mercedes lorry when it struck a wall in Chesterfield Road North at Pleasley Hill.
The incident happened at about 11.45am. No other vehicles were involved.
Mr Simpson, 49, from Bilborough, was taken to King’s Mill Hospital where he later died.
Chesterfield Road North was closed, from its junction with the A617 to Pleasley roundabout, for about four hours following the crash while officers carried out initial enquiries. |
