Yahoo users at risk of Cyber Attack

Internet users who have a Yahoo email account, could be at risk of having their data stolen, after hackers have stolen data from 500 million users in what is believed to be the biggest ever cyber attack.

The company, founded 22 years ago, say the attack happened two years ago and stolen data includes a mass of personal information such as names, email contacts and “unencrypted security questions and answers”.

Whilst Yahoo address’ are more common in America, computer experts are warning users with a Sky or BT email address to change their passwords, as the Yahoo servers provide the servers for BT and sky customers.

Craig Kerry, the owner of the Mansfield Computer Store, said the hackers are still trying to pass on the other information to other gangs “There still trying to sell the passwords online which does cause a worry. As with anything like this, if you’ve got any worries or concerns, change your email address or at least change your log-in details so that you’ve got full security as much as you possibly can”

The FBI say’s they are investigating the cyber attack.
