White joins Stags on permanent deal
Mansfield Town have signed Peterborough United full-back Hayden White, who was on loan at the Stags last season, on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old was a consistent performer in a vastly-improved second half of the season for Mansfield and made 18 appearances for Steve Evans’ side after joining in January.
Manager Steve Evans said: “Signing Hayden White on a permanent deal was something which was at the forefront of my mind at the end of last season and it’s fair to say that once again the chairman and the chief executive have been able to agree a deal with Barry Fry at Peterborough that has enabled the lad to join us.
“He needs no introduction from me to the Stags’ fans. He has, in the main, been outstanding [for Mansfield last season], and is a very welcome addition to a very talented group which has been assembled in the dressing room.
“I will say no more as his performances will need to speak for themselves,” he added.
White becomes the Stags’ seventh signing of the summer, just minutes after Peterborough teammate, striker Lee Angol also joined for an undisclosed fee to add to goalkeeper Conrad Logan, defender Zander Diamond, midfielders Paul Anderson and Paul Digby, and striker Jimmy Spencer.
Meanwhile, last season's captain Lee Collins has become Forest Green Rovers' first addition to their squad following their promotion to the Football League.
