Welbeck Reinstated To The Nottinghamshire Premier League
Welbeck Cricket Club have been reinstated to the Nottinghamshire Premier League for the 2017 season. Welbeck’s reinstatment into the NPL comes after Clifton Village resigned from the league at last night’s AGM. Chairman Dan Marsh has released this statement:
“Dear Members I am aware that there have been some rumours circulating regarding our 1st XI next season and I wanted to take this opportunity to inform you all of what has happened. We have been invited by the NPL to remain in their league for the 2017 season. This is due to another Club sadly withdrawing from the league and as is the usual protocol in these situations the Club in the last relegation spot is offered a reprieve. We have accepted the invitation and look forward to competing in the NPL next year.”
