Warsop Tasked with Environmental Week of Action

Warsop Tasked with Environmental Week of Action
Mansfield District Council are to target Warsop with “a week of action” later this month, as they aim to clean up the town and make it more environmental friendly.
Starting on Monday 26th September, parks and and streets in the town will be cleaned up by a team of volunteers who, along with the council, will also be promoting responsible dog ownership and handing out information on the new Public Spaces Protection Order.
The council are also urging residents to volunteer and those wishing to do so can pick up a volunteer sheet at Warsop Town Hall or The Charity Shop in Meden Vale.
Mansfield District Council Portfolio Holder for Public Protection Cllr Mick Barton, said: “We held a similar weeks of action in Mansfield Woodhouse and Forest Town earlier this year and they made a big difference to the neighbourhoods.
“These campaigns are a great way to bring communities together to help make a difference in their areas as well as a chance for the council and other partners to get lots of useful information out to the public and take action to improve the area.”
For more information about getting involved in the week of action, call Neighbourhood Wardens Steve on 07973 543786 or Ady on 07791 481678.
