Two People Charged After Sutton Shop Break In

Two people have been charged after a shop was broken into and the cash register was stolen before offenders drove off in a car.

Officers were called to Outram Street in Sutton-in-Ashfield at around 11.50pm on last Wednesday (7 July) after the store door had been smashed in.

They located a car nearby and arrested a 40-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.

Following enquiries, the woman was further arrested in relation to a burglary at a pub in Devonshire Square, Sutton-in-Ashfield on 2 July where a number of tills had been stolen.

Darren Spencer, 44, of no fixed abode has subsequently been charged with one count of burglary and Natasha Clark, 40, of Warnadene Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield was charged with three counts of burglary.

They've both been remanded to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.
