Two King’s Mill executives stand down following delay in trust merger
King’s Mill Hospital’s chairman and Chief Exectuive are to step down from their roles following a delay in the proposed merger between the Sherwood Forest NHS Trust and the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust until 2017.
Peter Homa and Louise Scull were appointed to the Sherwood Forest trust to oversee the transition period of the merger, which was announced last February.
Both Mr Homa and Ms Scull will return to their roles at the Nottingham University NHS Trust, along with chief nurse Mandie Sunderland.
Peter Marks, the Vice-Chair at Sherwood Forest will take over as Acting Chair this Monday (24th October), and it is expected that current managing director Peter Herring will be appointed as the new chief executive subject to formal approval by the board in early November.
