Three changes for Nottingham ahead of Bedford trip
After their first weekend off this season, Nottingham Rugby return to Greene King IPA Championship action on Friday night, as they travel to Goldington Road, to face Bedford Blues (7:45pm kick-off).
The Green and Whites will be looking to maintain, or better, their current position of third in the league standings, knowing that the Blues are hot on their tails, sitting just three points and two places behind them.
Head Coach Ian Costello has made just three changes from the side that comfortably beat Richmond, at The Bay, a fortnight ago, with lock Danny Qualter returning to the side in place of Tim Cardall, whilst Vili Hakalo and Will Millett are added to the backline, in place of Gearoid Lyons and Sean Scanlon respectively.
On the bench, Nottingham Trent University back David Williams is the only new face to be included.
Friday night will be the second meeting between the two sides this season, with Bedford running out 38-26 winners, in a British & Irish Cup fixture, at Lady Bay, back in October.
Team to face Bedford Blues: 15) Will Millett, 14) Billy Robinson, 13) Oli Evans, 12) Vili Hakalo, 11) Joe Cobden, 10) Tiff Eden, 9) Darryl Veenendaal, 1) Tom West, 2) Jimmy Stevens, 3) Rory Burke, 4) Tom Holmes, 5) Danny Qualter, 6) Ben Morris (C), 7) Jordan Coghlan, 8) Shane Buckley. Replacements: 16) Ben Brownlie, 17) James Penman, 18) Aniseko Sio, 19) Josh Poullet, 20) Matt Everard, 21) Murray McConnell, 22) David Williams.
