Mansfield 103.2 understands that Ryan Sweeney's departure was a mutual decision. The club did have an option in the defender's contract to extend the stay of the former Stoke City man, however, the 24-year-old is understood to have wanted a fresh challenge. Meanwhile the club also had an option to extend Andy Cook's contract but decided against it.
