Stags Snatch A Point in One Call Thriller
Mansfield Town maintained their unbeaten league start to 2017, but had to come from behind in a topsy-turvy 4-4 draw with Accrington Stanley on Tuesday evening.
The Stags conceded their first goals in over 350 minutes of football when they found themselves 2-0 down in the early stages, but Yoann Arquin’s late strike earned Steve Evans’ side a point, which kept them in the play-off places.
After the game, Evans said “we lacked a lot of quality [tonight], so it’s a little wake-up call for the dressing room. It was as bad a back-five performance as we’ve seen – so points will be made, changes will be made, and we’ll see how we go”
Mansfield are next in action on Saturday, when they travel to face a Grimsby side in mid-table in League Two.
