There is still well over a month before Mansfield Town’s players start their pre-season training but they are being closely monitored to make sure they keep their fitness during the summer break.
In the past, players would return needing to lose weight gained whilst relaxing in the close season.
But, assistant boss Paul Raynor says that will not be the case with the current Stags squad, telling Mansfield 103.2: "They have to log into a site every day to make sure they've done their work.
"They've all got their heart rate monitors so we can know exactly what they're doing and when they're doing it.
"The intention is that they all come back ready to go in pre-season on the 29th of June and in near enough peak condition.
"They're professional athletes and that's how they have to live."
