Stags enjoy team bonding session ahead of Luton trip

Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray may have banned his players' mobile phones but he's been building team spirit in other ways this week.

They went to Escape Games' Escapology in Nottingham on Tuesday and Murray says it was a great way for the squad to work together.

He told Mansfield 103.2 at Thursday's press conference: “I think there are five rooms and you have an hour to get out of each room.

“It was actually quite comical – the staff didn't do it as we wanted it to be a player thing but we got to watch it on the CCTV and I saw people hiding in corners!

“But, it was really good to see the characters [of the players] come out.”

Meanwhile, Murray has revealed that Jamie McGuire looks set to miss out on Saturday's trip to Luton Town.

The midfielder sat out last weekend's home draw with Wycombe with a leg injury.

And, when Mansfield 103.2 asked boss Adam Murray if he'd recovered enough for a recall, he said: “I'm going to say no.

“We thought he would be but he's had to go back to hospital today [for more treatment] so I think Saturday will be too soon for him and we'll have to re-jig.”
