Mansfield Town manager Steve Evans and defender Zander Diamond have been shortlisted for the respective Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards for November.
An excellent month which has yielded three wins and a draw from four games has resulted in the duo being acknowledged by the EFL in the monthly awards.
Three consecutive wins against Coventry City, Stevenage and Port Vale – all without conceding – were followed by a 2-2 draw with Chesterfield at One Call Stadium in November.
The four-match unbeaten run in Sky Bet League Two is part of an 11-match spell without defeat in all competitions for the Stags.
Mansfield chief Steve Evans has been named on a four-man shortlist for the award alongside Luton Town manager Nathan Jones, who won October’s gong, Chesterfield boss Jack Lester and Notts County chief Kevin Nolan.
Meanwhile, skipper Zander Diamond has been nominated for the League Two Player of the Month award in his first full month since joining the club in the summer.
The former Northampton Town man suffered a groin injury after the Stags’ defeat to Accrington Stanley in August and spent two months on the sidelines before returning to action in a Checkatrade Trophy victory over Everton at the end of October.
Since then, Diamond has helped Stags keep three clean sheets in Sky Bet League Two, in addition to scoring three goals.
The 32-year-old bagged a brace in the club’s 4-0 win over Port Vale, before scoring an 88th-minute equaliser against Chesterfield.
The other nominees for the Player of the Month award are:
Kristian Dennis (Chesterfield)
Christian Doidge (Forest Green Rovers)
Dan Potts (Luton Town)
The judging panel of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL trader Mikey Mumford will collectively pick a winner for both awards, which will be announced on Friday 08 December.
