I recently visited the dentist and she told me I was eating too much fruit! I thought I was being healthy but it turns out I’m actually rotting my teeth. Apparently it’s to do with all the natural sugars that can be found in things like apples and pears. Sadly next week I’m going back for a filling, lucky me!
When I passed on the bad news to my partner she suggested she could start making me some soups to help my cut down on the fruit and I’ve taken her up on the offer.
So this week I’ve been tucking in to my favourite, leek and potato, just before the show. All the planets seem to be aligning too because the weather has been getting a little colder and there’s nothing like a hot soup to warm the cockles.
I may have been a little annoyed at my trip to the dentist but every cloud has a silver lining. I’m therefore officially declaring October , Souptober!
