Sherwood Forest Hospitals Invites Nurses To Attend Open Day

Nurses who are looking to join a professional, caring and effective NHS Trust are being encouraged to attend an open day at King’s Mill Hospital on 4 January.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit qualified nurses to further improve the quality of care provided at its hospitals.

The open day will run from 3pm to 8pm in the Education Centre at King’s Mill Hospital and is a chance for registered nurses to find out more about career opportunities within King’s Mill, Newark and Mansfield Community hospitals.

Attendees will be able to chat with friendly staff about the benefits of working at the Trust, plus those who meet the required standard will have a chance to undertake an interview and potentially receive a provisional job offer on the day

The Trust is looking to recruit dedicated registered nurses across all specialties including acute medicine, surgery and theatres.

Lesley Ward, Practice Development Matron, at the Trust, said: “To be a nurse at Sherwood Forest Hospitals is exciting, satisfying and rewarding.

“We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic nurses who are committed to providing the highest quality care to patients to help us continue to improve the care we provide. In return, we offer an extremely fulfilling career path, excellent training and development opportunities and a good work life balance.”

Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust is among the best performing in the country for both mortality rates and the management of sepsis and is also performing well in many other areas such as the four-hour emergency care standard and other waiting targets, tackling C-Diff, and managing patients at risk of cardiac arrest.

Following the CQC report earlier this year, the Trust is now rated overall as ‘Good’ for ‘Safety’, with the Trust’s overall rating improving from ‘Inadequate’ to ‘Requires Improvement’. For further information about the open day, you can call 01623 622515, extension 3947. Applicants should bring all relevant forms of identification with them on the day.
