Remembrance Services Taking Place Across The District This Sunday
After the country fell silent earlier today to remember the fallen – a number of services, held by the Royal British Legion, will also take place this Sunday across the district.
Executive Mayor Kate Allsop will lead the procession at the Civic Centre and said "These ceremonies allow us to remember and pay tribute to all the brave service men and women, who have given their lives so that we can have a future.”
“You can show your support by buying and wearing a poppy to donate to this year’s Poppy Appeal. Poppies not only remember the fallen but help the Royal British Legion to provide advice and support to today's Armed Forces community."
