Officers were called at around 11.40pm on Saturday 22 September 2018 to reports of an incident in Kirklington Road, Rainworth.

A man and a woman were transported to Kings Mill Hospital. The woman had injuries thought to be sustained by a knife which are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers have begun investigating the incident that appears to be a robbery and local residents can expect to see an increase in police activity while enquiries are made.

Police are appealing for information and would ask anyone who saw the incident or anything suspicious at or around the time to call 101 quoting incident number 1003 of 22 September 2018.
