Police To Maintain Order In Chesterfield On Saturday
A dispersal order will be in place covering the centre of Chesterfield over the weekend to coincide with the local derby match between Chesterfield and Mansfield Town on Saturday.
The order covers a large area including the town centre, the A61 corridor to Whittington Moor and the Proact Stadium.
The order is designed to help police maintain order and keep people safe. It means that police will be able to move on anyone aged 10 or over who is causing a nuisance or committing crime.
Officers can also disperse people that they think might be about to act anti-socially, rather than waiting for it to happen.
A map has been produced to show how much of Chesterfield is covered by the order, which starts from 9am on Saturday, April 14 and runs until 7am on Sunday, April 15.
Children aged 16 or under can be removed to their home address or a place of safety, and anyone moved on under the powers can be prohibited from going back there for a certain period of time.
Anyone who refuses to comply with an order to leave an area will be committing an offence and could be arrested.
We will keep you right up to date with all the action from the Proact Stadium in Sportsbeat with Jason Harrison from midday on Saturday.
