New Community Hub Opens At Kings Mill
A new community hub which houses Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust’s charity and voluntary services was officially opened earlier today.
The hub is based in the heart of the hospital at the main entrance of King’s Mill and has been designed to be the “front door” of the hospital’s volunteer and charity services.
The newly refurbished space will be a dedicated area for our volunteers and fundraising groups which raise money on behalf of the Trust. The hub will be staffed by hospital volunteers from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
It was officially opened by Acting Chair, Peter Marks, and Chair of King’s Mill Hospital volunteers, Jill Smallwood, at 10am this morning.
Chair of King’s Mill Hospital Volunteers, Jill Smallwood, said: “We are really excited about the opening of the hub. We really value our volunteers and it will provide a much needed dedicated space for them and for our charitable donations team. We are always so grateful to volunteers and fundraisers.”
