Murray fumes after Wycombe draw
Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray was furious with his side's performance despite them fighting back to claim a 1-1 home draw with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
An equaliser from Matt Green nine minutes from time grabbed a point which could have been all three were it not for a world-class save by Wycombe keeper Jamal Blackman to keep out a Darius Henderson header in injury time.
Earlier, Matt Bloomfield had given the visitors a 22nd minute lead in a poor first-half display by the Stags.
Boss Adam Murray told Mansfield 103.2 that he had to lay into his players at the interval and was fuming that it took even longer for his side to click into gear.
He said: “We should have won that game – if we turn up, we win.
“You can't have an hour like that where it needs me to throw my weight around at half-time to liven people up.
“I need blokes, I need characters, I need big people in there that are going to do it themselves.
“I'm not their dad and I'm not their teacher in terms of getting the cane out – do your job!”
The Stags are eleventh in League Two, a point off the play-off zone, with a trip to Luton Town up next on Saturday.
