Mansfield Woodhouse School Receives Special mini-bus to boost disability sport activities

Yeoman Park School in Mansfield Woodhouse have received a specially adapted mini-bus from the Lord Taverners youth sporting charity. 

The specially adapted bus will allow Yeoman Park to take their pupils out into the community and experiencer a range of different sporting activities. 

This year marks the 40###sup/sup### anniversary of the Lord Taverners charity and the iconic adapted mini-buses provide young disadvantaged and disabled people with the chance to engage with the community by getting more access to nearby facilities. 

Yeoman Park head teach Jane Cooper said “using the community is an essential part of our school curriculum and having a mini-bus will enhance learning for all our pupils. At Yeoman Park we want to take learning out of the classroom and into the real world to give our pupils lots of new experiences that will develop their skills, knowledge and independence”
