Mansfield Town's injury crisis grows

Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray's injury crisis continues to grow with now just fifteen players available ahead of Saturday's trip to Hartlepool.
Defender George Taft is the latest doubt, adding to problems for others including centre-back Kyle Howkins, and midfielders Jack Thomas, Adam Chapman and Chris Clements.
Speaking to Mansfield 103.2 at Monday's press conference, Murray said: "We were hoping the checks would come back positive on the assessments on the players that we thought 'maybe'.
"But, we're looking at probably another two or three weeks before we see any more bodies back in.
"So, it's tin helmets on and we dig in."
Stags boss Adam Murray admitted he was hugely frustrated by the weekend's home defeat to Barnet where his side created a number of opportunities but fell to a single-goal loss.
Mansfield have fallen to tenth in League Two but are only a point off the play-off zone and four points away from leaders Plymouth Argyle.
This week sees U21s action as Mansfield take on Chesterfield in the Central League Cup, kick-off at Rainworth Miners Welfare FC's Kirklington Road ground on Wednesday is 2pm.
