Mansfield MP Backs EU Repeal Bill
Ben Bradley voted in favour of passing the EU repeal bill which means that following Brexit we will keep EU laws as our own.
The debate went through the night with MPs backing the EU Withdrawal Bill by 326 votes to 290, Mr Bradley who was on of the majority explained why he voted in favour, "It's really important for delivering Brexti because it means we have got continuity, the day after we leave (The EU) our laws will still be the same as they were the day before. I spoke out in support of it because, I feel that people in Mansfield won't accept any delay, any obstruction to delivering Brexit and to delivering it a timely and effective way."
The Prime Minister Theresa May is now facing demands by politicians for concessions before crucial legislation - cutting ties with the European Union - becomes law.
Mrs. May says the Commons "took a historic decision" by backing the EU withdrawal bill - but she now faces a battle against those who want to amend it.
No Conservatives voted against it and the bill will now receive line-by-line scrutiny in its committee stage.
