Lansbury Wins Championship Player Of The Month
Ahead of this weekend’s local derby against Derby, Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has been crowned as the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for November.
Lansbury beat off competition from Derby’s Tom Ince, Birmingham City goalkeeper Tomasz Kuzsczak and Brighton midfielder Steve Sidwell to win the award.
Lansbury starred as he played a key role in ensuring The Reds remained unbeaten last month, drawing 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers and beating Ipswich 2-0 and Barnsley 5-2.
It was the game at Oakwell where Lansbury came to the fore as he scored his first career hat-trick to cap a brilliant team performance.
Lansbury was given the award by the judging panel comprised of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football trading manager Paul Lowery.
Forest travel to the iPro Stadium on Sunday to take on bitter rivals Derby County, where we will have regular updates from the game in Sportsbeat.
