Kirkby-in-Ashfield swimmer Ollie Hynd in final at 2016 Paralympic Games.
Kirkby-in-Ashfield swimmer Ollie Hynd has breezed into the final of the 400m freestyle at the 2016 Paralympic Games.
His time of 4mins 31.9secs was eight seconds slower than his own world record but he was seven seconds faster than his rivals in the heats in Rio.
21-year-old Hynd, who won silver in the race at London 2012, will look to go one better when the final takes place at around 9.45pm on Thursday evening.
Hynd has five chances to win gold in Rio whilst Mansfield's Charlotte Henshaw will also be going for medals in the women's 100m breaststroke next week.
