Kings Mills Emergency Department Has A Calm Semi Final
Staff at King’s Mills Emergency Department had a much better day yesterday as England progressed through to the EURO 2020 final.
Sherwood Forest Hospital NHS Trust’s chief nurse Julie Hogg had said that a mixture of violence, rudeness, inappropriate comments and racism from a number of people made the department a frightening place to work last weekend but this time around things were calm and there was no drama.
Julie said today “We were worried after seeing a rise in abusive behaviour after England matches, but our reminder to patients to treat us with respect and to remember that we are here to help seems to have worked.
They are now looking ahead to the weekend and hope football revellers will remain well behaved if they have to attend hospital as all the staff wish England the best of luck for Sunday!
