International call-up for Wolf Hunt's Pearson
Sherwood Wolf Hunt half-back Daniel Pearson could make his international debut this Saturday after he was picked for Germany's rugby league team for a game in Cardiff.
A 20-man squad that includes two Super League pros - Leeds Rhinos' Jimmy Keinhorst and St Helens' Brad Billsborough - has been announced for the match against the Welsh Dragonhearts.
Wolf Hunt chairman Adam Bates told the club's website: "We are incredibly proud of Dan.
"He has spent the last two season learning the game with us and has showed some exceptional levels of commitment.
"An international call up is exactly what he deserves, and we will be cheering him on all the way."
Pearson's the latest Wolf Hunt player to represent their national side - hooker Luke Walters is a regular for the Scotland U19s whilst former players Fabian Wikander and Joakim Svensson earned caps for Sweden last year.
