Green and Whites set for Titans derby
Nottingham Rugby head coach Ian Costello has re-shuffled his starting XV for the Green & Whites' penultimate 2016/17 Greene King IPA Championship fixture, against Rotherham Titans, on Saturday at Clifton Lane (3pm kick-off).
Nottingham will be looking to return to winning ways against their local rivals, after last weekend's disappointing loss against a high-flying, in-form Ealing Trailfinders side, with Costello opting to switch three players roles, as Ben Morris returns to the back row, Jordan Coghlan switches to openside flanker and Billy Robinson moves from the right wing, back to his regular fullback position.
Three changes are also made in the pack with Harry Morley starting at loosehead and Will Stuart at tighthead, whilst lock Toby Freeman returns to partner Tom Holmes in the second row.
Dual-registered Leicester Tiger Charlie Thacker is the only addition to the backline, as he is brought in on the right wing.
On the bench, Morgan Eames, Rob Langley are included, alongside George Worth, who featured in Tigers' Anglo-Welsh Cup final victory over Exeter last weekend.
The local derby fixture is set-up to be a competitive affair, with the Titans currently sitting just one place, and seven points behind the Green & Whites, who know a victory would ensure that the Yorkshiremen cannot finish above them in the final Championship standings.
The spoils were shared between the teams when they last met in November, when a last minute Rob Langley try, and Mitch Lam conversion helped Nottingham secure a last-gasp, 19-19 draw at The Bay.
Team to face Rotherham Titans: 15) Billy Robinson, 14) Charlie Thacker, 13) Oli Evans, 12) Vili Hakalo, 11) James Stephenson, 10) Tiff Eden, 9) Darryl Veenendaal, 1) Harry Morley, 2) Jimmy Stevens, 3) Will Stuart, 4) Tom Holmes, 5) Toby Freeman, 6) Ben Morris (C), 7) Jordan Coghlan, 8) Shane Buckley. Replacements: 16) TJ Harris, 17) Ben Hooper, 18) Morgan Eames, 19) Rob Langley, 20) Josh Poullet, 21) Murray McConnell, 22) George Worth.
