Clipstone Off The Mark
Mansfield Town left it very late to pick up three points against Cheltenham.
CJ Hamilton netted in the 94th minute to ensure a 3-2 after there had been three red cards at the One-Call Stadium.
The Stags went 1-0 down, Hamilton then equalised just after the half hour mark. Cheltenham were then reduced to 10 men.
It was the away side who struck next, but not before the sides had been levelled up courtesy of Hayden White's red.
Kane Hemmings returned from injury to score 10 minutes from time, which set the stage for Hamilton to knock in the winner at the death.
What a result it was for Nottingham Forest! The Reds had on paper their hardest game of the season, away to tabletoppers Wolves, but just like Arsenal, they were swept aside.
Kieran Dowell and Ben Osborn scored within three minutes of each to give Forest a 2-0 win.
On Friday night Derby County drew 0-0 with promotion rivals Bristol City. In a tight affair The Rams were denied a late penalty. Contact was made on new signing Cameron Jerome who exaggerated his fall which was enough to see him go into the book for simulation.
Elsewhere in League 2, Notts County lost at home to Exeter which allowed a number of sides below them including Mansfield to close the gap on them in second.
Clipstone are off the mark this season!
The Cobras also kept their first clean sheet in a year to get their first point of the season in a goalless draw against Staveley.
One fan clearly felt inspired by the performance so decided a game of Football Manager would be perfect.
Business as usual for AFC Mansfield as they won for the 10th straight game, beating Bridlington 2-0. The Bulls extend their lead at the top of the Premier Division to 14 points.
Meanwhile Rainworth Miners Welfare fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Maltby Main but stay 7th in the table.
In NCEL Division One Ollerton Town thumped struggling Brigg Town 5-1. Kyle Ludlow and Gavin King both hit braces.
Not such good weekends for Shirebrook Town and FC Bolsover who were beaten 4-1 and 3-0.
And finally Teversal and Selston weren't in action in the East Midlands Counties as their games were postponed.
Nottingham Forest pick up an unlikely three points, Clipstone pick up their first point and Mansfield Town keep up the pace in League 2.
