Ball Dropped Whilst Hales Hits Half Century
Jake Ball has not been included in England's Test squad that will play two games in New Zealand in March.
Nottinghamshire teammate Stuart Broad has been selected.
Ball made his Ashes debut in the First Test which Australia won convincingly. The Warsop born bowler took his first and only wicket of the series dismissing Aussie opener David Warner.
Despite many calling for him to be dropped throughout the series Stuart Broad is in the squad. He was England's second highest wicket taker in the Test series but only the sixth overall.
The Notts paceman will be looking to take a wicket as early as he can in the First Test on March 22nd to become only the second Englishman to take 400 Test wickets.
Broad is on 399, that's second in the all-time rankings behind James Anderson who has 523 scalps.
Despite losing the Test series 4-0, England will be keen to do some damage in the limited overs matches against the Aussies, the first starts in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Another Nottinghamshire man, Alex Hales will be going into the game in good form having made 52 from 35 balls against a Cricket Australia XI today.
The first 50 over game between England and Australia starts at 03:20 Sunday morning at the world famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.
