Ashfield Residents Encouraged To Take Part In Crucial Survey

The “Big Notts Survey” closes on the 19th of September and Ashfield District Council Leader Jason Zadrozny is encouraging residents to have their say about Nottinghamshire’s priorities over the next decade.

There just over 2 weeks to have your say about the state of our roads and pavements, our schools, libraries, our health care, policing and much more.

Councillor Jason Zadrozny represents the Ashfields’ Division at County Hall.

He also leads the increasingly influential Independent Group at County Hall.

It has been reported that the current response rate is just 0.7%.  7000 responses have been received so far – out of close to 830,000 residents.

Councillor Zadrozny says that the residents of places like Ashfield can help improve this figure and at the same time have a huge say on the future direction of Nottinghamshire County Council.

Councillor Zadrozny said, “I would urge Ashfield residents to take part in this crucial survey.  The biggest complaint we receive as councillors is about the state of our broken roads and pavements.  The County Council are directly responsible for both the state and safety of our highways.  This is Ashfield’s opportunity to tell County Hall in huge numbers that we want them to prioritise fixing them.

“The County Council are also responsible for our schools, our recycling centres, our youth services, many of our bus services, social care and much more.  The Council have promised to analyse, listen and act on every response.  Independent councillors pass on complaints and representations from residents to the County on a daily basis.  This is your chance to make your voice heard.  As we recover from COVID – it’s more important than ever that we have our say about future of services provided by the County Council. So I am asking for a big favour from residents in Hucknall, Kirkby, Selston, Sutton and across the Ashfield District – please take part.  The survey only takes a few minutes but it could help drive more services our way.”

The survey closes on 19th September.

The easiest way to complete the Big Notts Survey is online.

Alternatively, printed copies can be found at all county libraries, Children’s Centres and other council buildings.

Residents can also call 0300 500 80 80 to complete the survey over the phone.

For those who are deaf or hard of hearing, the text relay service can be used by dialling 18001 0115 9774050 from a textphone or the Relay UK app.
