Arrest After A Car Flipped Over In Forest Town
A man has been arrested after several cars were damaged in a crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police were called to reports that a car had collided with two parked vehicles in Clipstone Road East, Forest Town on Sunday(21 November 2021).
The car flipped over during the crash and emergency services were at the scene following the incident at around 1.45am.
Two men, who were in the car at the time, were taken to hospital with suspected broken bones and concussion.
However, their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or altering and the pair continue to receive treatment.
An 18-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
PC Martin Clifton, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is extremely fortunate that the injuries sustained by the two men appear to be neither life-threatening or altering.
“Emergency services were quickly at the scene, where the car had flipped over, and the men were taken for medical treatment. “Thankfully no one else was injured as a result of this incident.
“We have made an arrest but are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with dash-cam footage, as our enquiries continue.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dash-cam footage, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 84 of 21 November 2021. Information can also be reported anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
