A Day In The Life Of
A Day In The Life Of .... from Katie Trinder
“I don’t know how you do it”, that’s what people normally say to me when I tell them I get out of bed at 4.15am every morning. Now don’t get me wrong, if I could somehow invent a time machine that gave me a few more hours in bed then I would, but I love what I do and the day’s got to start somewhere right?
I’m normally sat at my desk by 5am, crumpets in one hand, a vat of coffee in the other and two dogs by my side. One grumpy at the fact he’s had to get up and the other ready and raring for a game of catch!
Once 6am hits, then it’s all systems go, I don’t think the show ever really turns out the way I planned, because I never know what gems you lot are going to come up with! I pretty much spend the whole morning laughing at something and gossiping with Dan!
Some people think once 10am comes, then that’s it, I’m done for the day, but that’s far from it! Once the show’s done, me and the dogs head out for a walk somewhere, our particular favourites are Newstead Abbey, the Quarries and Brierly Park…. Anywhere we can wander and have a game of ball.
After that then it’s time to plan the following day’s breakfast show and get on with my other job.
My working day tends to finish about 5pm, when I’ll either head to the gym, I’ve taken up yoga and have romantic notions of one day being able to stand on Summit tip and do a sun salutation with the Kirkby sunshine beating down on my blonde hair. The truth is if I attempted that now someone would probably think I needed medical help!
In the evening, if I’m not off to the cinema or seeing my friends, then I like to watch TV shows like “First Dates”, “Devious Maids”, “Wentworth” and I love “Tattoo Fixers”, it’s a real guilty pleasure!!
